Neutrik expands its fiber optic connector range opticalCON by a version optimized for compactness and a high number of fibers, the opticalCON MTP 24. The ruggedized and dirt-protected 24-channel fiber optic connection system based on MTP technology (Multifiber-Push-On“) is used in the Telecom and Data technology.
MTP connectors are compatible with the MPO technology (Multifiber-Push-On) and nominated for IEC-61754-7. Due to the small outer diameter and the robust design, the opticalCON MTP 24 is a solution for long cable runs and point-to-point wiring. The system is based on the opticalCON QUAD and optimized for mobile applications in the broadcast and pro audio section. The system can be cleaned easily without any tools, and also dust and water resistant according to IP65 if mated.
The opticalCON MTP 24 cable connector is characterized by the all-metal housing and the heavy-duty strain relief. The spherical dust shutter protects the fiber from contamination and minimizes maintenance. The color-coded cable connector is pre-assembled and available in a variety of mobile field cables.
The rear compatibility of opticalCON MTP connector fitting with standard MTP / MPO breakout cable allows easy adaptation to fiber standard connectors such as LC, SC, ST. The approved dust shutter ensures high mating cycles and minimal maintenance. The housing seal is used for color coding and IP protection.
Neutrik also introduced the latest extension of the CAT6A portfolio – the CAT6A feedthrough coupler for cable extensions.
The new adapter features the 10 GBit bandwidth as well as ingress protection class IP65.
