Fiilex

Fiilex’s Matrix II RGBW brings full-color control to Fiilex’s Matrix line of soft-source LED punch lights. The Dense Matrix LEDs in the Matrix II RGBW boast multi-wavelength color groups. Other manufacturers have single chips in their array representing a hue range. Fiilex has designed its array with multiple custom chips covering a specific hue. Each chip outputs a specific portion of the hue wavelength and when combined produces a broader and deeper range of hue than other fixtures can produce.

RGBW fixture draws 320W of power and produces an output greater than a 1K tungsten soft light. This output is generated by the four Dense Matrix LED clusters that are set into a custom-designed reflecting chamber and enclosed by a layer of diffusion. With its four LED sources, the Matrix supports additional optics and accessories that can easily reshape the fixture’s illumination. The fixture is compatible with light banks from Chimera as well as DoP Choice when using the speed ring accessory. It can also be used as a front-focused light with the optional Quad-Fresnel, which increases beam intensity by 3x.  The Matrix is also available in an alternate Tunable White model.

The interesting aspect is that Fiilex was showing a frame that takes 4 of the Matrix II fixture and makes a quad large format fixture. More on that below from No Film School.

Tiffen

Update your lighting kit with the bright, compact TotaLED Daylight LED Floodlight from Lowel. A modernization of the old Lowel Tota light, the TotaLED retains its powerful 750W tungsten equivalent brightness, but this model is updated to a daylight LED panel with sturdy metal construction and a large heatsink to keep it cool when operated for long periods. Its fanless design also keeps it quiet on set.

The light’s 160 5600K LEDs have a long, 50,000-hour lifespan, so you won’t have to change any burned-out bulbs. Its 65° beam angle covers large areas with ambient light, and you can slide in the removable diffuser panel to broaden the beam angle to 100°.

The light is powered by a controller box that connects to the light with a 4-pin XLR; connect either an AC adapter or use the built-in V-mount plate with a separately available battery. The box also features a knob for 100-10% stepless dimming – which can then be brought down to totally 0%, a mounting slot, and a hanger loop for hanging on a stand.

The TotaLED is supported by a built-in tilting yoke with a 5/8″ mount, which is tightened by a large locking knob. The yoke also features a shoe-style mount to attach your controller box by its mounting slot. Further up the yoke, there’s a 1/4″-20 accessory mount for adding gobos or flags. There’s also a separate umbrella mount with a small locking knob that can support umbrellas up to 45″. Its built-in two-way barndoors help you shape the light, and there are two integrated gel clips on the outside of each barndoor. The barndoors fold down to protect the light panel when not in use.

The included AC adapter can be used worldwide with optional plug adapters, and it all comes in a carry case to protect and transport the light.

The TotaLED is a portable flood light that emits 4275 lux of flicker-free continuous light. It operates on AC or battery power, and it draws only 70 W to deliver the equivalent output of a 750 W tungsten bulb. The TotaLED is daylight balanced (5600 K) and with a CRI of 96.3, it delivers excellent color accuracy. Its power output is controlled by a stepless dimmer knob that ranges from 100% to 0% brightness.T

Cineo

Lightblade LB Edge Series

NBCUniversal, in partnership with Cineo, has re-designed the ultimate creative lighting tools for Motion Picture and Broadcast:  the LightBlade Edge modular fixtures.

Individual Blades are the key component to the modular LightBlade Edge fixtures.  At 24″ (610mm) or 48″ (1.2m) wide by 2 1/2″ (64mm) deep, the individual LightBlades bring you both versatility and a low profile footprint that can efficiently and discreetly light even the darkest and tightest corners of your set.

Each individual LightBlade can operate as a stand-alone fixture, with internal AC power supply, control electronics with DMX and Local control.  Combining superior white light with innovative full-gamut saturated color technology, a single LightBlade delivers up to 5,000 lumens at an 80-watt power draw.  Both 24″ and 48″ LightBlades are the most powerful linear lighting engines on the market.

The LightBlade Edge fixtures offer a unique modular design.  LightBlades are integrated into the mounting system to create the Edge 160 (2-Blade) and Edge 320 (4-Blade) fixtures, delivering 10,000 or 20,000 lumens.  The LightBlades in the Edge fixture can be set to operate as an integrated light source, or they can operate independently for dynamic lighting effects.

The LightBlade Edge modular fixtures offer the simplicity of a complete lighting fixture with the flexibility of individual LightBlade control.

Lightblade LB800

Introducing the Lightblade LB800™, the latest professional lighting tool from NBCUniversal® and Cineo Lighting™.  The LB800 represents the latest technological advances within the Lightblade product line, with new features and even greater flexibility.

Like all LightBlade fixtures, the LB800 uses proprietary phosphor-converted white light LEDs, as well as phosphor-converted saturated color LEDs. These work together to create a balanced, natural-looking spectrum. The saturated color LEDs use the exact same dies as the white LEDs, so all light emitting elements of the LightBlade products carry identical thermal stability and perform over time with consistent color quality.

Additional features include support of both 8-bit and 16-bit DMX data, as well as multiple color space personalities.

Controlling the color space for each zone can be accomplished in either HSI + CCT mode, or RGB + CCT. The LB800 can store and recall multiple fixture settings for quick access to frequently used lighting parameters.

For dynamic lighting effects, the LB800 can be configured in 10 independent zones, with complete DMX/RDM control over each zone. For advanced use, all parameters for each zone are completely configurable via RDM.

The LB800 includes the same intuitive graphical user interface as the LB1K and Cineo Standard 410 delivering predictable, repeatable results. The fixture can be controlled locally or remotely with wired or built-in wireless CRMX control.

At NAB 2019, Chimera continued their product development with Litegear to create larger overheads with new F3. The F3 not only provides bright, even distribution of light, it also packs up into a convenient carrying case. If portability is, even more, your thing, then check out the Panel Lantern; small, portable, bright overhead lighting.

Chimera continues to add accessories like soft boxes, diffusers, barn doors, scrims and speed rings for almost every major lighting manufacturer on the market. BLUESHAPE

BLUESHAPE is a product brand emerging from broad experience in the fields of rechargeable battery technologies like NICD, NIMH, LI-ION, and LI-Polymer. They are battery pack designers and manufacturers and in fact, supply complete solutions in the design and manufacture of rechargeable battery products and accessories.

BLUESHAPE is native European brand with its base in Reggio Emilia, Italy.
Following an encouragingly good international acclamation, the BLUESHAPE management ventured in further investments to produce other useful broadcast products ranging from chargers to accessories such as camera mounting plates and innovative software systems for battery monitoring and testing. Today, BLUESHAPE manufactures some of the best performing V-lock batteries and some of the fastest chargers available on the market.
BLUESHAPE’s obsession is to pack higher value and innovative features within its products. The product range is steadily on the increase with new cutting-edge products introduced on a regular basis.

Some highlights during NAB 2019 were their Granite Series batteries compatible with all the major brands such as Arri. These batteries differ from the competition by charging and discharging each cell at the same time rather than one by one. This allows for a much evener cycle and longer life. Draco Broadcast

At 5.5 lb, the LED1000 Pro Bi-Color LED Light with V-Mount Battery Plate from Dracast is an ideal choice for location work, interviews and small sets where color accuracy, control, and flicker-free output are of major importance. The 95 CRI variable color temperature from 3200-5600K or anywhere in between means that you can quickly match the prevailing ambient or artificial light balance with a simple twist of a knob while others are still applying filters. Dimming is equally convenient via another knob that adjusts the light intensity from 100-0% with negligible color shift. The low electrical draw of just 60W means a timely return on your investment. The durable aluminum frame is supported by a sturdy, U-shaped yoke with locking knobs on each side and a standard 5/8″ receiver. The LED1000 can be used worldwide, powered by the included 100-240 VAC adapter or by optional V-Mount 14.8V batteries.
