Dracast has revealed an attractive and round soft light under it’s Aparo brand dubbed the “Luna.” Based on the existing Silk Ray, these fixtures will come in larger sizes with a very narrow profile (at just over ½ an inch). Edge-mount LED’s point inward while a distribution panel creates a soft, 180 degree beam spread. According to Dracast, this technology mimics ambient light by eliminating hot spots and hard shadows. Available in either bicolor or daylight, this fixture will be ideal for portrait photography due to the exceptional softness and wrap it creates around the subject.
