Philips Entertainment

New to the Philips Entertainment stand this year were some additions to the Vari*Lite line that included the VL 1100 LED delivers high-quality light and consistent color reproduction, making it a true alternative to the traditional tungsten source in a moving head fixture.

  • The 127 LED array and engine delivers a CRI of over 91 and has a 25% greater output than a traditional tungsten fixture.
  • An improved lower-end diffusion allows for gentle edge diffusion
  • The fixture has a tungsten red shift emulation during dimming, allowing it to work and feel just like a standard VL 1000 series fixture
  • Hybrid liquid / forced air cooling system
  • It has a 4 blade framing system
  • CMY color mixing
  • Continuously variable zoom of 19 – 36 degree and superzoom angle to 70 degrees

The VL 1100 LEDHP is an alternative to a traditional arc source in a moving light head. The unique LED engine delivers high CRI output and a consistent color temperature. The innovative hybrid cooling system creates a strong balance between light output and noise.

  • Color reproduction consistent with the traditional VL1100 Arc source fixture
  • Hybrid liquid / forced air cooling system
  • Superzoom angle to 70 degrees
  • Continuous variable zoom range from 19 – 36 degrees.

Last year, the VL6000 Beam, was a concept in the demo room. This year, the market-leading mid-air effects fixture took pride of place in the booth, receiving an immense reception. A large 14” front aperture – using a new exclusive Philips ellipsoid reflector array system – produces a retro style searchlight effect, with a high output tight collimated shaft of light at 6.5°, which exceeds 55,000 lumens.

The VL6000 Beam ultimately went on to win PLSN’s “Best New Beam Fixture 2017” award.
