The SolaFrame 750 automated luminaire from High End Systems offers many of the effects capabilities of the company’s flagship white light LED products, making it suitable for theaters, houses of worship, nightclubs and other medium-sized venues. Delivering 11,300 lumens, the fixture includes a full framing shutter system, CMY/CTO- linear color mixing, replaceable fixed color wheel systems, rotating gobo wheel plus rotating animation, frost, iris, 6º to 50º zoom, and a three-facet rotating prism. In other fixture news, the SolaFrame Theatre fixture received the 2017 PLSN Gold Star Product Award for Best New Light For Theater.
On the console side, High End showcased the new release of Hog 4 OS v3.7.0 software running on their desks at the show. Hog 4 OS v3.7.0 contains major new features including plot icons, fixture color-coding, plot images, support for additional touchscreens, effects synchronization, MIDI note macros, many smaller enhancements.
High End also held their 2017 HOG Factor National Collegiate Lighting Show Programming Competition at LDI. Of the three finalists, the Long Beach Three from California State University, Long Beach won the competition with their show.
